Weekend home improvements!

Hello guys and gals! I hope you are all having a lovely week so far!

It has been a busy few days for me. Jack and I have been discussing painting the house for some time now, but had never gotten around to it. Well this weekend we finally bit the bullet and painted the living room.

I did not take any before pics because to be honest, I was embarrassed lol. When we moved here almost four years ago, Alex was in her " draw on everything" stage, and the walls caught the most of it. There was even a few smudges of purple nail polish that I have no idea how she even got lol. ( Or where the bottle went afterwards! ) Add grubby little hand prints to that, and we had a fine mess! So here are a few after pics, and please ignore any mess, we were not done putting things back together yet when I took the pics. Oh and the walls were white before, with little decoration on them....

This last one is the paint color up close!

It has a very Southwestern feel to it, which matches all our Native American decor very well I think. The kitchen will be the same color since it is all one big room with a bar separating it from the living room. We worked all Friday night and half a day Saturday, and I am very pleased with how it turned out. Sunday we did not do a damn thing except watch the race and some movies, we were both sore as hell lol. It looks SO much better than it did before, and we have a big sense of accomplishment! As we do the rest of the house I will post those pics as they happen!

Have a great week!
