30 Days of Truth : Day 19

Day 19 : What do you think of religion or politics?

Bleh.

That is what I think of most religion and most politics.

I am not politically minded at all. I am of the opinion that no matter who runs for what office, it is never going to change really. They will promise you the world while campaigning, but the second they are in office it is all about their own agenda, and that is usually money and prestige based. The people who are most able to effect change in the world are just like you and me, they do not hold a public office. They do not even run for office, they are to busy living in the real world, trying to change things for the better. The use their time, money, and resources to actually do something, instead of filling my papers and TV and internet with smear campaigns and "Vote for ME, I am the shiznit!" crap....

The only person I will discuss politics with is Jack, and that is only because he IS interested in it, and because he is a bit of a pessimist, I have to bring the better side ( if there is one ) out into the light for him. It is one more of the zillion things we do to balance each other and helps make our relationship as awesome as it is.

Religion.

*Sighs*

I hate talking about it. I talk about it a lot these days, even though I do not want to. I think everyone should be left the hell alone to worship or express their idea of religion as they see fit, as long as it does not hurt anyone else. More people have died or been tortured or hurt in the name of religion than any other reason, and it sucks. If you want to pay homage and worship the oak tree in your yard, go for it. If you want to worship your car, I don't care. If you worship nothing, I am all for that too.

It is what makes you happy that matters, not what the rest of the world thinks about it!
