The Crazy Witch Cooks: Bella's Easy 3 Bean Chili!

Makes a 6 quart crock pot full....

Some may think this is extra spicy, but it really is not hot at all, I usually add more red pepper to my individual bowl. Adjust seasonings to fit your family's taste! For a vegetarian recipe, just leave out the meat! It is just as good!

1 can of black beans, undrained
2 cans of ranch beans (or chili beans, or light or dark kidney beans ) undrained
1 can of black eyed peas, undrained
1 28 ounce can of crushed tomatoes
1 pound lean ground beef, drained if there is any fat
14 ounces of smoked sausage, diced ( I used Pecan smoked sausage )
2 green bell peppers, diced
1 large onion, diced
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons chili powder ( or more to taste )
2 tablespoons sugar ( to cut acidity )
2 tablespoons cracked black pepper ( or to taste )
1 tablespoon ground cayenne pepper ( or to taste )
1tablespoon ground cumin ( or to taste )
2 tablespoons onion powder
2 tablespoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon seasoning salt ( I use Lawry's )
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon ( Yes, cinnamon lol )
2 tablespoons olive oil

Add undrained cans of beans and can of tomatoes to 6 quart crock pot. Brown ground beef, drain any fat, add to crock pot. Heat olive oil and saute peppers, onion, and sausage, add to crock pot. Add seasonings and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well. If serving that day cook on high for at least 5 hours. If serving the next day or later, cook on high for one hour, then switch to low for 8 hours or overnight. Top with sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese crushed crackers, or whatever your favorite topping is!
