I have been a bit withdrawn the last week or so. Nothing really wrong, just needed a little space, hence no post last week.
It has been an odd week. My Dad is in the hospital, his potassium levels have been through the roof, so they have him on IV fluids and whatnot to try to get that leveled so he can have a heart cath done...again.
Sunday I got up at 7 because we were supposed to go to the lake, but it was raining when we got up. I stayed up till 11 am and then took a nap until 4 pm because I wanted to stay up late and watch the M*A*S*H marathon that was on TV, which I did. I did not get done with that till midnight, then had dishes and other stuff to do, and since I had to get up at 5am to go over to my Mom's to watch the kids I decided to just stay awake since I would just toss and turn and finally fall asleep a hour before I had to get up, so I said to hell with it. I was okay for the most part, I sat in my Dad's recliner and watched like 20 episodes of Hoarders on my parents On Demand, which was nice. I wish I had cable lol.
After we got home, around 6, I parked it on the couch and watched TV for a few hours and finally got to bed around midnight. Slept for 8 hours but that is really not enough for me when I was up for 32 hours right before!
I have been here otherwise, I have just been in a withdrawn kind of mood. I am not in a bad mood or anything, just feel that "I need to be kind of alone" vibe I get from time to time.
Lets see, what else? Oh Jack fixed the three kitchen drawers, which is awesome, I can finally use them, and as they would not open for several years, I found a lot of knives and other pointy objects in the drawers, some mine, some I do not remember ever seeing before lol. Nice to have that space to use!
Jack is going to Home Depot Friday to see what kind of colors they have in their reject paint section, and to get a couple of sample cans in two colors so I can sponge paint Alex's walls finally. I hope they have an acceptable blue color that I can use in my bedroom, and Jack brought me some white paint to finally paint the bathroom door and the cabinet in there. Maybe even get some tile for in there if he finds something that will match.
I am in a project mood, just need the supplies to do it lol.
Nothing much else going on really. I have been putting of folding the laundry and I need to get off my duff tomorrow and get that squared away and go through my closet and Alex's clothes as it is time to try to start getting school clothes and supplies for her. School starts on the 18th of next month.
So it has just been quiet time for me. Hopefully it will go away soon and I will poke my head back out and contribute to something lol.
Have a great week folks!

WTFE Wednesday: Random facts edition
I intend to write another blog post later tonight, so for WTFE Wednesday I give you a list of random facts about me! Anything you want to know in the future? Just ask me and I will post it!
Okay I think that sums it up for now. not overly interesting I know buy hey, I have no idea what you guys and gals might want to know, so drop me a line and ask me some stuff!
- I am left handed.
- I can not draw worth a crap but I make some awesome abstracts.
- I am addicted to lotion. I have bottles all over the place, even in Jack's glove compartment in the truck!
- There is a darker side of me that only two of my partners have ever gotten to experience. A GOOD darker side!
- I love Pandora Radio
- I am double jointed in my elbows, which is pretty useless other than being able to reach anywhere on my back lol.
- I have a very large physical and creative crush on Gordon Ramsey.
- Okra makes me hurl.
- I love iced coffee but hot coffee ruins my stomach.
- I am a compulsive rearranger. The only thing that saves the house from me constantly moving stuff around is that most of the pieces are massive and I can not do it alone, and due to the space and shape of my rooms there are only so many ways it will fit lol.

WTFE Wednesday: The Return
The return to what you ask?
The return to my "normal" self!
After a long month of feeling empty for no good reason, a couple of nights ago everything finally turned back around thank the gods and goddesses!
It was pretty surreal. I was sitting here talking to Perth late in the night and all of the sudden this feeling washed over me. I felt high and happy, and if I closed my eyes the world spun. Now before you ask me wtf I was smoking, it was nothing, I swear lol. I sat here trying to talk to Perth and enjoy the feeling but it got even more intense and I felt like I needed to lay down.
Now some folks believe in Astral Travel and some do not, but those that do and know the feeling might understand what I am about to describe. I felt detached and floaty...like I was here but somewhere else at the same time. Everything felt more pronounced, but hazy at the same time. I shut everything down and made my way to my bed and laid down, falling asleep in seconds, which is impossible for me, it takes me at least an hour to go to sleep even if I am dead tired. I had some of the most vivid dreams I have ever had, and while I can only remember bits and pieces of them, suffice to say they were not any thing like my usual dreams. I have not felt like that in almost a decade, which is the last time I am aware that I traveled.
I woke up the next day feeling rested and happy and whole again, and the last two days I have felt great. Happy, almost bubbly, laughing, talkative, excited and filled with ideas and creativity. That horrible void I have had for the past month was filled and I was myself again. I felt "connected" again.
Feeling as sad and lost as I did, and not knowing what was triggering it, was really eating away at me. I still have no idea was caused me to "fall" but I am sure glad it is over. I like to think that some part of my mind finally said "ENOUGH of this shit!" and went to go find the parts of me that had run off into the night. All I know is that I am glad they are back.
Enough of the doom and gloom for a while, please and thank you.
Things have steadily improved both inside and out, and I hope it continues to climb and climb.
SO now maybe we can get some happy posts going up in here instead of that depressed shit that spewed from my mind. It sucks when you are tired of yourself!
So, onward and upward.
Let's fly baby!

WTFE Wednesday: Slack ass edition
It is going to be a short one guys and gals. I am exhausted.
I spent today over at my parent's house, cooking and cleaning.
I swear I work 10 times as hard over there than I do here lol.
It was a good day for the most part, and I am glad I went.
Getting up at 5 AM again when I am used to sleeping in sucks royal ass though.
I see myself going to bed very soon, as Alex just went to bed and Jack's work clothes are in the dryer.
Tomorrow is cleaning and cooking in my OWN house...yay...I think.
I hope you all had a wonderful day!
P.S. I know I was supposed to write about Jack on Father's Day, but we did not get back from my parent's house until late and then he decided to be a jackass the last couple of days, so I am not in the mood to heap praises on his head just now. I still love him though, even when he has a bug up his ass.

WTFE Wednesday Dear Letters
Dear severe sunburn: Ow man. What the hell did I do to you to make you bbq my freaking legs? To the point I could not walk for a day and a half? Not to mention I took precautions and nothing else got burned. Harsh.
Dear Alex: I missed you for the two days you were away. A lot. Yet 10 minutes after you got back I was hoping you could return back from where you came. Go easy on me will ya? NO ONE needs to talk that much.
Dear Jack: Thanks for taking care of me while I was in the throes of agony. But fuck man, how many dishes does it take to make a damn salad? I made a full meal tonight and did not use a fraction of what you dirtied up to make a SALAD. Love you, mean it.
Dear adversary who shall remain nameless: I WIN bitch. Suck on that for a while.
Dear readers: I curse a lot sometimes. Okay most of the time. I actually tone it down a LOT for you guys. It chafes sometimes lol. So sorry if you are appalled by my language, but sometimes the situation calls for a good 'fuck.' In fact, you can fit the word 'fuck' into just about any sentence and make it work. I think it is probably the most versatile word there is.
Dear heat wave: 106 degrees in Florida is fucking stupid. This is not Arizona or parts of Texas. It is FLORIDA. Stop it. Rain. Do something besides roast us all. 102? Hot but not totally abnormal. 106? Insanity!
Dear Father's day: ( and mother's day and the 47 birthdays that are only weeks apart all year long ) I love my dad a lot, but he is impossible to please with gifts other than books and he has read everything under the sun. Can we have some holidays where we do not have to buy so much shit, or at least make everyone happy they have family who loves them every day instead of once a year? People are poor! People like me!
Dear Gordon Ramsey: I love you and I think there should be a channel devoted to showing nothing but your shows all day long, 24/7. Not on cable though. I live in the sticks, no cable and can not afford a dish, and I would be pissed if you made it and I could not watch it. PISSED, you hear me? Love you man!
I think that sums it up for today. Have a great rest of the week!

WTFE Wednesday
Howdy folks. We are going with some randomness today yay!
Today I shelled a five gallon bucket of black eyed peas from our garden. My thumbs are sore.
I enjoyed it. I find shelling beans and peas and processing stuff from the garden very satisfying and therapeutic!
I do not remember if I mentioned this before, but I am going to embark on creating a Garden Journal, made from the things we plant, or rather ABOUT the things we plant. So when we go to plant next year we can thumb through the garden journal and see what we need to do for the best possible crop, document our trial and errors, things like that. I am excited about it, but I have not started it yet. I will.
I have been collecting 20 oz and 2 liter soda bottles, and I have been cutting the bottoms off of them to use in a project. Check out the bottom next time you drink one, see that natural flower shape? I am going to be doing some glittering and painting and hanging to make pretty flowers out of them! I finally have enough so hopefully tomorrow Alex and I will start on that. Oh, and I will be making my own glitter too. Mmmhmm. I rock.
I had an emotional breakdown of sorts yesterday. Spent half the morning crying over old shit, as in decades old shit. The day got better as it wore on, and I found out I was not the only one having a rough day yesterday. But I'm feeling muuuch better! ( Bonus points to anyone who knows what show that phrase came from! )
Today was pretty lax, I played around on POGO and washed some clothes, reheated leftover chili for dinner and did pretty much nothing else until 9 this evening when I got a wild hair and started shelling peas I was going to save for tomorrow.
My PS3 misses me, but with Alex home it is hard to wrestle control of the TV away from her. It has been 98 to 103 here for the last two weeks, to hot to go outside, and she has not played with the kids across the street much, so when she is not playing she watches movies. That is, until she realizes I am perfectly content in whatever I am doing and decides to intervene, because that is just not allowed!
So the lazy days of Summer vacation are in full swing, and that is alright with me!
How YOU doin???

WTFE Wednesday ( On Thursday )
Ack, another week where I am a day late!
I have been at my parents house the last two days, in my defense lol. I worked more there than I do here but it was still fun. I love cooking over there, their kitchen is huge!
Punk (eldest daughter ) and I watched " I Am Number Four " today. It was okay, to me it was like a 'Smallville' meets 'Spiderman' meets 'I know what you did last summer' meets 'Twilight' kind of movie. There will definitely be sequels. I expected more from the previews I guess. I expected it to be deeper than it was.
So that is where I have been, having some family time and enjoying myself. I had a great time but I am glad I am staying home tomorrow. I got used to sleeping in rather quickly and I did NOT like having to get up at five in the morning again lol.
Tomorrow I get to do laundry, visit with Vix and shell black eyed peas from the garden *Big smiles* It is going to be a good day!
I hope you all have a great weekend!

WTFE Wednesday
It is official. My baby girl is now a first grader! Today was the last day of school and I am partly terrified and partly relieved since now I do not have to get up at the ass crack of dawn anymore. She aced her final report card. She was on A-B Honor roll the whole year. So proud of her!
My eldest daughter starts HIGH SCHOOL in the fall. I feel pretty ancient....
It has been a weird day. Vix is taking care of our neighbors cats while they are on a vacation, and it is possible one of her dogs killed one of the other neighbor's chickens. We did not see it happen, but when we got there the yard was clear, and when we came out, there was a dead chicken in the yard.Vix is devastated, and her day kind of went downhill from there.
Jack stayed home today, and he washed the roof and sides of the house to get the mildew off. Looks much better. He cleaned the yard up too. He has a three day weekend for the holiday, so I am looking forward to that!
We have harvested two batches of squash and zucchini from the garden, and one batch of green beans. I can not wait to make them for dinner tonight!
I got a wild hair up my ass today and tore apart half the house and did some deep cleaning and dusting and rearranging. Done for the day but I see more of this in my future. It is time to tackle Alex's room again too.
Jack is napping and Alex is across the street swimming. I want to go play my game but I need to get dinner started first.
Soon as I finish stuffing these Fritos in my mouth before I pass out from hunger. I have been so busy I did not take time to eat!
Have a great week everyone!

WTFE Wednesday
So I think instead of calling it Open Letter Wednesday, which I hate, I am going to change things up a little bit. First, the name change, and second, the contents. Instead of just open letters, it could be a rant or random facts or things I love or hate or wtf ever, with me so far? Hell, it could even be a mix of all of those, which is what today's post is!
I really feel for the people in the flood zones right now. I can not imagine knowing your house and land is going to be wiped out by opening flood gates and not being able to do a damn thing but watch it happen.
I have decided tonight is a non meat night. I am wondering how Jack will take it. He is ever the carnivore. Alex and I will be happy however. Anything involving roasted brussel sprouts makes me happy.
I am still looking for a new layout for my blog. I want something darker and sexier, as that is where my personality is at these days.
I have been all light and rainbows and butterflies for about 6 months now, and, as the Wheel does turn through the seasons, it also turns in my mind and soul. The fiery sun is setting, and the mysterious moon is on the rise. I love it when that happens.
I just tripped over my dog and busted my ass. Ow. It sucks having to make sure when you fall, you do not land on said little dog, or you will squish him flat.
I have been feeling restless for about a week now, and that can be dangerous as I like to do stupid things when I get that way. It only just occurred to me that I get the feeling every time I switch from light to dark so to speak, and I should realize it for what it is. As well as realize as soon as the transition is complete the feeling will go away and to not do anything I might regret later.
I just learned that a guy I slept with for about a week when I was 16 has no memory of it, and I am highly amused that he is way more upset than I am over it lol. I do find it interesting that back then, he wanted to be with me, and I wanted to be with him ( in a serious way ) but we were both to scared to mention it, thinking the other would turn us down. So we never said anything. Now, almost 17 years later we are friends, both happily married with kids, and it finally comes out lol. Funny how things work sometimes. We were both part of the "Way to mature for our age" group in school. We all left home early and got on with our lives long before our peers did. Of course, as mature as we were, we knew nothing of the "real adult world" and we all had it pretty rough for the first parts of our adulthoods. Stay at home as long as you can kids, learn what this big old world is about before you decide to jump into it feet first. The more you prepare, the better it will be!
I finally got to hang ALONE with Vix for the first time in almost 2 weeks. They have a new temporary roommate who is out of doors and she is driving every one crazy. Me included since with her there all the time, Vix ( who is a solitary person like me ) is always in a bad mood, and even if she tries to escape over here, the chick follows her over. So today, since it is in the 40's this morning, she drove the kids down to the bus stop, and since Steph and the roommate were still sleeping as they were both off work, she came over and hung out with me for about 45 minutes. I never realize how much I miss her until she is here after being gone for a while.
Two more full and two half days of school left and then I get to sleep in and stay up late yay!
We are going to put tile down in my kitchen, bathroom and laundry area over the next week or two. I am so excited about this fact!
Okay so this was a "please excuse me while I throw up random things floating in my brain" kind of post. Still , it IS WTFE Wednesday lol..
Enjoy the rest of your week!
