I am excited to bring a new segment to Tales of the Wolf Queen!

It's called ASK ME ANYTHING!

Yesterday, I asked over on the FB Fan Page for my readers to submit questions about anything they might want to know about me. It can be anything. Mundane questions like what is my favorite song, book, movie, color, and things of that nature. They can be of a much more personal nature. They can be intellectual questions.Anything goes!

I want to let you guys and gals ask me anything, so you can get to know me better. I find in my own blog reading, I want to know as much as possible about the ones I am really interested in. I figure there must be others out there who wish they could ask their favorite bloggers a few questions, so I am giving you all the chance to do just that with me!

I'm Epically Awesome and I got an award of Epic Awesomeness. Because I am Epic. And Awesome. And stuff.

Good Monday morning everyone!

I will get to part two of my last post later..( It miiiiight be tomorrow...I am still mentally chewing on things for that post. These things can take time, you know. ) but for now I want to share a little bloggy excitement with you.

Last night, one of my favorite people in the world, Vickie from Aoibheal's Lair bestowed the Epically Awesome Award of Epic Awesomeness upon me. ( That is a mouthful! )

See? Proof of how awesome I am. Epic even.

There are rules to go along with receiving this award, and they are as follows:

4. Nominate 10 other bloggers and link them back to your post. ( I hate this part lol. Not the naming, but the going and telling them lol.)


Okay...ten things....hmmmm.

1. I just celebrated my 9th anniversary to my husband Jack back on April 4th.

2. My 34th birthday is in 26 days. ( May 4th )

3. I have an issue with bad smells. I burn incense constantly and use a lot of carpet powder. The thought of anyone walking into my place and it smelling bad terrifies me. My nose is weird as well..I perceive a lot of good smells as bad smells. For instance ground coffee smells like cat piss to me. Tastes great, smells awesome while brewing, but in ground form it smells like cat piss to me. Yuck. Boiling chicken off the bone smells like boiling garbage. Yet I love the smell of boiling cabbage.

4. I wear a lot of men's cologne as opposed to women's perfume. It smells better to me, and smells better on me than most women's perfume due to my odd body chemistry.

5. Jack and I have started keeping fish again. I used to have several tanks growing up, but it has been years. I inherited two tiny gold fish when Perth moved out, and they are now each bigger than my hand. We have since upgraded  to a bigger tank and  now have two set up. I forgot how much I enjoyed watching the fish swim around. Very peaceful.

6. I am a total cat person, yet I have three dogs at the moment.

7. I trained the last 4 cats I had to not use the litter box, but to go to the door and ask to be let out.

8. I hate wearing bras and never ever do unless I am going out and can't wear a coat over my shirt, or if we have company coming over. It sometimes makes me envious of women who do not have to wear them unless they want to.

9.  I am worried about a friend I have not heard from  in a while.

10. I have a really hard time writing things like this lol.

WHEW. Glad that part is over! I wish these came with a set of questions. I would be much happier to answer  them than try to pull random facts out of my ass.

Now for the really hard part, narrowing down my huge list of awesome bloggers to just ten. Especially when some of them hate getting awards, and I can never remember which ones like them and which ones don't. So if I send one to you and you hate them, then I apologize, and feel free to ignore it. Just know that I think you are epically awesome! ( Also, I am trying very hard not to do a repeat of many others who got this award. We all love either other so we tend to nominate each other in these things. I love them all, but I am trying to get some fresh blood in here lol. )

1. Amber at Airing My Dirty Laundry, One Sock at a Time.Amber  is a military wife and mother of two kids, one with Aspergers. She is funny and real and hates a lot of the same things I do. I love her!

2.  Morgan at The Inklings of Life. I am all about laughing, and Morgan seriously cracks me the hell up. Her most recent post had be nodding my head and laughing, as I am the same way and would do the same things!

3. Julia at There's No Wine in Mom. A "real" blogger, I enjoy her tales of being a first time Mom, and all the triumphs and confusion and tough choices she has to make.

4. Mama Tully at Adventures in Tullyland. I am a recent follower of this blog, but it is FULL of house organization tips and I just love it!

5. Gina at Daydream Believer is my 5th choice. The art Gina produces is just amazing and I love looking at her creations.

6. Sarah at Love, Light, and Wine: A Painting, Sipping Beachy Pagan. Another "real" blogger,  I always enjoy her posts.

7. Charlene at My Life between Naps. Although she has not been posting a lot due to family stuff, I love this blog very much, as well as the woman who writes it.

8.  Jill at Made it on Monday.  This blog has a little bit of everything, and I enjoy reading it very much.

9.  Evin at Food Good, Laundry Bad. I think that blog name says it all, eh?

10. Last, but certainly not least, is from Six Sisters at Six Sisters' Stuff. food, craft, and all kinds of fun things can be found there.

Spooky and not so spooky spirits!

Samantha Curtin, who writes over at Bones, Buried Treasures and Beliefs, wrote an awesome accounting of her interactions with spirits. It was a great read, and I look forward to the second part tomorrow!

Good morning, and happy FRIDAY folks!

I am so happy the weekend is finally here, there will be so much sleeping happening the next couple of days lol.

The first week of the Samhain's Sirens blog has gotten off to a kick ass start, and I am so stoked to be a part of it!

Hi, my name is Bella Foxglove and this will be the best month ever.

Good Monday Morning all you wonderful people.

October is finally here, and I am bound and determined to make it the best month ever. So many awesome things are happening in the blogging world, and I am so excited to be a part of it.

Things finally kick off in a few minutes over at Samhain's Sirens. Please check out the BLOG and the FACEBOOK PAGE to keep up with all the fun. There will be giveaways, recipes, craft ideas, music, blog posts, and much more from some really awesome people.

Today also kicks off the start of NaBloWriMo. Be sure to check out the BLOG and the FACEBOOK PAGE for that too!

Today, I am going to introduce myself, as there will hopefully be new faces here. I am going to copy the bio I have over at the Samhain's Sirens blog page, as it sums it up pretty well.

I am a Southern Pantheist Witch living in North Florida with my husband and three children. I am not traditional by any stretch of the imagination. I make it up as I go along. I have wandered my ever winding path as a Pagan since I was 13. I still find it hard to believe that was 20 years ago. My life has been one hell of a ride, and even though it is has been very difficult at times, I am glad to say that each and every day I have become stronger and wiser because of the things I have been through.

I have many interests. I love to cook, yet baking eludes me, with the exception of breads. I am in love with Gordon Ramsey. I think I could woo him with my sarcasm and make him fall madly in love with me lol. I am a bookworm of the highest degree. I love music of all types. I am a writer and a blogger. I am always looking for more writing opportunities. I have a tendency to overanalyze everything. I am very much interested in Herbalism and natural medicine. I love to paint in abstract, due to the fact I cannot draw a straight line most days. I can carry on entire conversations comprised of nothing but movie quotes. I am the Queen of useless information. I like to say that you never know when some random bit of knowledge will come in handy one day, and indeed it has! I am a bit of a packrat, mostly with paper. I have a pen and writing implement obsession.

I am very much a Taurus, yet just as much the Leo of my Moon sign. I am logical to a fault at times. I must have incense burning at all times except when I am sleeping. I am addicted to lotion; I must apply it several times a day. I tend to see things from all sides at once. Sometimes that is a huge blessing, and sometimes that is a big curse.

I am an admitted introvert. I am fine in social situations, but I prefer to be at home where I am comfortable. I have a close knit group of friends, most of them I have had since I was a child, and they mean the world to me. The remainder of my friends are online, as I live way out in the woods. I do not get to see even the in-person friends very much, due to geographical locations, so they are sort of online friends as well. I have met so many wonderful people thanks to the internet, and once I started blogging I was introduced to a whole new world of people, and have been fortunate enough to know some of the most intelligent, fun, interesting, and diverse individuals. Some of my best friends live in my computer, as they say! *Winks*

30 Posts of Truth....Day One.

I thought that I would participate in the 30 Posts of Truth I see floating around the internet, found over at A Karma Project. I like the idea, and I like reading fro those who are also doing it, I like the insight it gives us about each other. So here we go!

Day One: Name something you hate about yourself.


If I had written this last year, it would have taken up several pages.  I hated just about everything about myself, from my personality to my weight and everything in between. Things are so much different now. I am not thrilled with all this extra weight I carry around on my frame, but since I am working hard to get rid of that, I no longer hate it. I hated feeling so detached from everything, but since I have taken steps to remedy that, I no longer hate it.

I do not hate anything about myself anymore. Hate is a waste of time and is counter productive in my book. It takes time and energy that could be better put to use somewhere else.

I used to hate all the stupid mistakes I made when I was younger, but at the same time if I had not gone through all of that, I would not be the person I am today, and for the first time in a long time, I like me!

I know this one is kind of short but really, there is nothing I hate about myself!

I got my hair done!

Hiya guys and gals! Happy Friday! Hooray it's the weekend!

Today did not go QUITE as planned, Jack was supposed t get his W-2 filed today, even had an appointment, but when he got there, they were backed up over 3 hours so he said screw that and made an appt for noon tomorrow. He still had his usual paycheck so we used it tonight instead. We went to get some Mexican for dinner, which was awesome, and then we hit the store, and I ended up getting my hair cut, layered, and straightened, and I just love it! The pics I took are not great, but if you are a regular, you have seen my waist length mess of curls self, so you will hopefully see the difference! It is so much lighter and feels so much better!

I also call that one above my "Yeah, Whatever" face lol...

And here is a slightly brighter one....

So now my hair is a lot shorter, a lot straighter ( until I wash it lol ) and it looks and feels awesome!

After that we went and bought a couple of odds and ends, I got some Hemp Lotion ( AWESOME stuff and my favorite, but pricey so I do not buy it often, I got a HUGE bottle ) and some caramel flavored rice cakes, because I love them, a Xbox game for my eldest daughters birthday present, and a movie for Alex. I also bought a hair product at the salon for my unruly tresses. It is called " It's a 10"  and it does 10 miracle cures for hair, and let me tell you, it works!

After that we headed home, and gods my living room is a wreck lol...stuff all over the place and I hate that, so here in a few I am going to clean it all up so I wont have to deal with it tomorrow, as I am going over to my moms for cake and ice cream for my daughters birthday, and then we are town bound to do some more shopping and pay some bills.

Next weekend is VACATION TIME BABY!!! With or without Alex, I will be in a elegant hotel suite with a balcony that reaches over the Bay, real down comforters, the best seafood restaurant in this part of Florida, all caught fresh daily, and I get to watch the sun rise and set over the water...I am SO freaking stoked!

I might get my nails done tomorrow as well, I am in need of some girly pampering! Maybe get me some new duds too...its been over a year since I got new clothes!

SO today was great, and hopefully the rest of the weekend will be even more awesome!

Holiday Survey!!

It has been a minute since I did one of these survey type things...since the big Unappreciated Blog Award month actually...and Marvelous Magaly over at Pagan Culture tagged me and I thought it might be fun. I am only going to tag maybe 5 folks however!

So here we go!

1. Have you started Yule shopping yet? Not in the least. I am one of those last minute shoppers, which sucks, and you would think I would stop that, but it happens lol.

2. Tell me about one of your special holiday traditions? The fun part is the fact we are making new ones. There never were any set traditions growing up, other than we opened presents on Xmas Eve and had presents from "Santa Claus" on Xmas Day, followed by a huge dinner. Now  we seem to just make it up as we go along, but we still open gifts and eat on the same days as it was when I was a child.

3. When do you put up your tree? As a child we used to do it on Thanksgiving night, but the last two years I have put it up the first or second weekend of December...

4. Are you a Black Friday Shopper? Not even if everything I got was free. I would go postal.

5. Do you travel at Yule or stay at home? If you want to call driving 10 minutes to my parents house "travel"..then we travel *winks*

6. What is your funniest Yule memory? I can not really remember anything overly funny happening, other than the lucky times when my parents are in a good mood and laugh and joke with the rest of the family.

7. What is your favorite Yule movie of all times? How the Grinch Stole Christmas, hands down.

8. Do you do any Yule baking and what's your favorite treat? In the past no...but I am learning how to make some pretty awesome things now, so that is changing. My favorite treat is my mom's Peanut Butter Pie for sure!

9. Fake or real tree? Fake...cutting down a live tree just to sit in the corner of my house is not cool to me...

10. What day does the actual panic set in to get it all done? I would not say 'panic' but I get stressed right after Thanksgiving, wondering how we are going to pull off buying gifts for the kids..

11. Are you still wrapping presents on Yule Eve? It has been known to happen lol..

12. What is your favorite family fun time at Yule? Cooking :)

13. What Yule craft do you like best? I am not a big crafter to be honest...it is not where my artistic talents are at lol..

14. Yule music? Yes or No, and if yes, what is your favorite song? Most people I know will groan at this, but I LOVE Elvis Xmas music lol...

15. Do you plan to finish all your shopping? I certainly hope so!
